Has Dove Finally Created The Holy Grail Of Beauty Products?

Has Dove created the holy grail of beauty products? Does their new” beauty patch” leave users feeling significantly more beautiful and self confident?

For some time now, Dove has steered clear of traditional beauty product advertising, (i.e. flawless models) in favor of using real women in their campaigns. This time around, to  emphasize the fact that beauty isn’t solely physical, but a state of mind, Dove asked a handful of women to test their new “beauty patch” for two weeks. In reality, the “beauty patch” was little more than a sticker, yet every woman who participated reported feeling more confident and beautiful after wearing the patch.

As the two week trial ended, the women were asked to describe any changes they felt since wearing the patch, and every single woman reported a positive change in the way they view themselves. One  went so far as to say that, “It has definitely been a life altering experience.” Another woman stating, “It definitely opened up something inside of me to make me feel this great.”

If something so simple can have such a great impact on these women’s view of themselves, I say we all slap on a patch and start loving ourselves. We deserve it.
