Spreading Cheer With PB&J Ministry
Ernest Mims gives out 300 Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches each weekend to the homeless on the streets of Ft. Worth. The idea behind his PB&J ministry is simple and quite ingenious—a quick lunch that keeps well and needs no prep from its recipients. The Willow St. Team wanted to help out, so we took an afternoon to pack up sandwiches, chips and a little chocolate treat into brown paper bags. In total, our folks created over 200 lunches, some of which we also distributed to the people living on the streets right around our Deep Ellum offices. We dedicated the gift to honor the memory and birthday of Bradi Hilts, a friend of the agency who tragically left this world way too young.
